The OPS Detector

Support for the Mac App Store edition, published by Cognito Agora, Inc.

What The OPS Detector Does

The OPS Detector helps Mac users review suspicious links, fake terminal-fix instructions, selected files, harmless security simulations, user-confirmed incident patterns, and plain-English incident reports. The Mac App Store edition is sandboxed, advisory, local-first, and non-destructive.

If you believe you are in immediate financial, safety, or account danger, pause the app workflow and contact your bank, platform provider, local authorities, or a trusted person through a known-good phone number.

Inspect A Link Or Fake Fix Instruction

  1. Open The OPS Detector.
  2. Go to Link Inspector.
  3. Paste the suspicious link, message text, or fake support/terminal instruction.
  4. Review the plain-English risk explanation before opening links or running anything.

Review A File

  1. Open File Review.
  2. Choose a file through the macOS file picker.
  3. Review the local advisory result.
  4. Do not open files you do not trust until you understand the result.

Use Ops Overwatch

Ops Overwatch lets you classify patterns as trusted, unknown, known pattern, or confirmed threat. Records stay local unless you explicitly export them.

Generate A Report

Use Incident Report Preview to create a plain-English summary that you can share with support, IT help, a bank, or another trusted reviewer.

Mac App Store Edition Boundary

The App Store edition does not include the deeper Pro/direct capabilities.

  • No Endpoint Security system extension.
  • No Network Extension system extension.
  • No privileged helper or root escalation.
  • No remote-agent deployment.
  • No Homebrew/YARA runtime dependency.
  • No automatic delete, quarantine, block, or repair behavior.
